Myself at some place in Núpur |
Last Friday, 23rd of August, we were doing our final exam for the A1 level in Icelandic. That showed that the 3-weeks were over. My first days were a bit complicated, doing new friends, getting to know other students... and I was hoping to finish as soon as possible. But days passed, and every day was better than the one before, and at the end we were like a big family. We did everything together, we had breakfast, lunch, dinner, study together, go hiking together... And it was so good. All in all, these weeks have been a great experience to know other exchange students, but also to discover a little bit more of Iceland, the Westfjords. It's a fantastic place and, unfortunately, it's not a popular destination for tourists.
The "last dinner" was pretty good, the shows performed by the different classes were amazing, I was in the lowest class, for students that are not used to decline, and don't know any similar languages to Icelandic. But I must say that our show was the best, "Ganga style", "Ganga" in Icelandic means "Walk". We (and particulary my roommate, Michi) did special lyrics to thank our teacher, Óli, for his great teaching. Here it is:
And we also won the Núpur Quiz organitzed by another class! 10L of beer as a reward! Who's the best class now?

But now it's all over, and tomorrow I start University at 08:20 so I'm going to wake up really early. Hope everything is OK in my home town.
Sjámst!
